Lessons are normally forty bucks. Cash. This one’s free.

How it works

The Process

Mickey: Here’s how the Tour guys do it.

  1. Step 1: Film it.

Any phone works. Keep the whole swing in the frame, from behind or face-on.

  2. Step 2: Upload it.

Use Google Drive, iCloud or an unlisted YouTube video. Copy the share link, and make sure anyone with the link can view it.

  3. Step 3: Send it.

Paste the link into the form, add launch monitor numbers if you’ve got them, and check the boxes.

Send me your swing (opens in a new tab)

Mickey: I review every swing personally. If it’s bad, I call Denny.

Adults only (18+). By submitting, you give permission for your swing to appear in a Mickey Hosel video. The form asks what Mickey should call you, advice-column style, like “Scott in Missouri.”

Questions

The Mailbag

Mickey: Got a question instead of a swing? Write in. I answer the good ones on air. Denny answers the rest.

Email the mailbag

Questions may be read on air. Mickey signs them advice-column style, like “Slicing in Sioux Falls,” never with your real name. Adults only (18+).

Books

The Producer’s Books

Mickey: My producer wrote a couple of books. Mental game, course management. He made me put this here.

Glossary

Terms of the Profession

Mickey: What we in the profession call… these.

A hosel-forward strike pattern
Contact made with the part of the club nobody aims with. The ball leaves at an angle, and nobody says the word. No relation.
Ep. 1
An unscheduled fade
A fade you didn’t order. Amateurs call it a slice.
Ep. 2
Premature divotation
Hitting the ground before the ball. Happens to everybody. Mostly you.
Ep. 3
A low-altitude runner
A chip that never gets off the ground and never stops, either.
Ep. 3
A no-fly approach
Putting from off the green. A legitimate strategy, and I’d like that noted.
Ep. 3
An overcommitted draw
A draw that kept going. Amateurs call it a hook.
Ep. 4
A lateral miss
When the ball leaves the club sideways. I hit one into a crawfish boil at the 1988 Greater Opelousas Open. I don’t want to talk about it.
Ep. 5
Fairway-adjacent
Just missed the fairway. Legally in the rough. Spiritually in the fairway.
Ep. 6
A tactical retreat
Straight right into the trees. On purpose, according to me.
Ep. 7
